During the season (September 6-April 30), our ticket office hours are:
Monday – Friday: 9 am to 5 pm
Saturday: 10 am to 1 pm
Summer Hours (May 1-Labor Day):
Monday – Friday: 10 am to 5 pm
Saturday & Sunday: Closed
The Ticket Office opens at the performance venue 90 minutes prior to each performance and remains open until 30 minutes after the performance begins. Tickets may be purchased online 24 hours a day until three hours before the published start time of the performance.
UMS also sells tickets for the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance productions, and for the Ann Arbor Summer Festival.
The ticket office will be closed for the following holidays in 2016: Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving (closed Thursday-Sunday), and December 24-January 2, 2017.
All Ticket Sales Are Final
All ticket sales are final. Programs and artists are subject to change. Refunds are given only in the case of event cancellation or date change. Service charges are not refundable.
There is a $10 service charge for all subscription orders.
For single tickets, service charges of $3.00-$6.00 per ticket apply to all internet and phone orders. There are no service charges for tickets purchased at the League Ticket Office or at the venue immediately before the performance. Service charges are never refundable.
Lost or Misplaced Tickets
Call the Ticket Office at 734-764-2538 to have duplicate tickets waiting for you at Will Call. Duplicate tickets cannot be mailed.
Late seating is not guaranteed; please leave ample time for parking and arrival. UMS staff works with the artists to determine when late seating will be the least disruptive to the artists and other ticket buyers.
Ticket Donations/Unused Tickets
If you are unable to use your tickets, please return them to UMS on or before the performance date (accepted until the published performance time). You will receive a receipt for your tax-deductible contribution. Ticket returns count towards UMS giving levels.
If you’d prefer, you may return your tickets for credit on your UMS account (on-account credit will exclude ticket exchange charges, as determined by our ticket exchange policy). Your credit may be applied toward the purchase of any ticket order through the same UMS season.
Tickets returned for on-account credit must be returned to the ticket office no later than one hour prior to the performance. On-account credit cannot be redeemed online. If you would like to convert an on-account credit to a gift-in-kind before it expires, please call to inform us of your intent.
Single Ticket Exchanges
Non-subscribers may exchange tickets for a $6 per ticket exchange charge until 48 hours prior to the performance. Exchanged tickets must be received by the Ticket Office (by mail or in person) at least 48 hours prior to the performance. You may fax a photocopy of your torn tickets to 734-647-1171, or email a photo to firstname.lastname@example.org. Lost or misplaced tickets cannot be exchanged.
Within 48 hours and until one hour before a performance, UMS will exchange tickets for a $10 per ticket exchange charge (applies to both subscribers and single ticket buyers). Tickets must be exchanged at least one hour before the published performance time. Tickets received less than one hour before the performance will be returned as a gift-in-kind contribution to UMS.
Children and Families
Children under the age of three will not be admitted to regular, full-length UMS performances.
All children must be able to sit quietly in their own seats throughout the performance. Children unable to do so, along with the adult accompanying them, may be asked by an usher to leave the auditorium.
Please use discretion in choosing to bring a child. Remember, everyone must have a ticket regardless of age. Age recommendations for performances are posted on performance pages on the website.
UMS offers specially priced Kids Tickets for children ages 8+.
Will Call/Ticket Pick-Up
All ticket orders received less than 10 days before the performance will be held at Will Call, which opens in the performance venue 90 minutes prior to curtain.
