Authorized Ticketing Agent

UMS assumes no liability for tickets purchased through unauthorized sales channels, including thehillauditorium.com, Craigslist, eBay, StubHub, and other secondary market or ticket broker services. We strongly advise against purchasing tickets from any source other than the UMS Ticket Office or ums.org.

Tickets purchased from unauthorized sources may be stolen, counterfeit, or otherwise compromised, and if so, are not valid for event admission. If you are unsure whether a ticket seller has been authorized to sell UMS tickets, please contact the Ticket Office at 734.764.2538 prior to purchasing from that source.

Tickets can be purchased online, via phone at 734.764.2538, or in-person at the Michigan League Ticket Office. Visit our Contact Page for more information.

Tickets may be exchanged for another UMS performance within the same season, or the value can be held as a credit on your UMS account for the remainder of the season. There is a $10 exchange fee per ticket.

Tickets must be exchanged for UMS credit at least one hour prior to the performance. All UMS credit balances will expire at the end of the season and may not be applied to future seasons.

Subscribers can return tickets with no fee for UMS Credit up to 48 hours before a performance. Within 48 hours, subscribers are subject to the $10 exchange fee per ticket.

Note: events at the Detroit Opera House are subject to separate ticket exchange policies.

Refund Policy

Programs and artists are subject to change. If an artist cancels an appearance, UMS makes every effort to substitute that performance with a comparable artist. Refunds will only be offered if a substitute cannot be found. Service charges are not refundable. UMS will not cancel performances because of inclement weather.

Ticket Donations & Unused Tickets

Tickets may be donated to UMS until the published start time of the concert. A receipt will be issued for tax purposes. Unused tickets that are returned after the performance begins are not eligible for UMS Credit or as a donation.

Additional FAQs
I lost my tickets. Can I get new ones?
Please call the Ticket Office at 734-764-2538 to have duplicate tickets sent via email or held at Will Call. Duplicate tickets cannot be mailed.
Do you offer ticket discounts?
Yes! UMS offers several discounted ticket options for students, families, senior citizens, and groups of 10 or more people.

Learn more about ticket discounts.

If I arrive late, can I still get in?
Late seating is not guaranteed and varies per performance. Please leave ample time for parking and arrival (please note: Most U-M parking structures are cash-only). UMS works with the artists to determine a late seating policy that will be the least disruptive to the artists and other ticket buyers.
Can I bring my baby?
While UMS offers specially priced Kids Tickets for children in grades 3 – 12, children under the age of 3 will not be admitted to regular, full-length UMS performances. All children, regardless of age, must be able to sit quietly in their own seats throughout the performance. Children unable to do so, along with the adult(s) accompanying them, may be asked by an usher to leave the auditorium.

Please use discretion in choosing to bring a child to a UMS performance. Remember, everyone must have a ticket regardless of age. Age recommendations for performances are posted on the artist performance pages.

Are your venues accessible for persons with disabilities?
UMS is committed to making all facets of our organization accessible to the widest possible audience. This commitment includes making our websites, performance venues, and event spaces accessible.

Is my credit card safe?
UMS works with the University of Michigan Treasurer’s Office to ensure the highest industry standards for credit card security. We use the Tessitura ticketing system, which was developed by the Metropolitan Opera in the late 1990s and is now used by over 600 arts organizations in the US, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Australia. UMS does not store credit card information.
