Join fellow readers and engage in a three-part discussion exploring Octavia E. Butler’s Parable of the Sower, part of the Parable Path A2Ypsi Community Read.

UMS is partnering with local literary organizations, Octavia E. Butler enthusiast groups, and community and university scholars interested in Afrofuturism and self-sustainable collectivism as part of a Community Read of Octavia E. Butler’s Parable of the Sower.

Come with your questions, observations, and comments to discuss the novel with other readers. This third discussion will cover chapters 17-25 and will be facilitated by Paula Drummond of the Ypsilanti District Library.
