UMS 101: SW!NG OUT

UMS 101 - Community Programs

Choreographer and artist Caleb Teicher explores the Lindy Hop in their dynamic new show, SW!NG OUT. Learn about Lindy Hop, a Black social dance that grew out of jazz, tap, and Charleston to become the hottest dance of the Swing Era. This workshop will get you up on your feet and moving to the sounds of big band music.

Join us March 31 for this 90-minute UMS 101 workshop that correlates with the April 1, 2022 performance of SW!NG OUT. Deepen your experience and understanding in advance of the performance in a fun, casual learning environment, facilitated by Paulette Brockington.

$49 registration includes the 90-minute workshop & light snacks, plus a ticket to the April 1, 2022 performance of SW!NG OUT. (Please note, performance is on a different day/time/location than the workshop. Sorry, no ticket exchanges or refunds for previously purchased tickets.)
