In keeping with their mission to increase access to skateboarding throughout the community, Friends of the Ann Arbor Skatepark has offered the All-Girls Skate program for two years, providing professional instructors, equipment loans for beginners, snacks, and support every 2nd and 4th Sunday morning during the summer.

This group is intended for girls and women of ALL ages who want to learn or develop skills as beginners and gain confidence to use all that the Skatepark has to offer. Friends of the Ann Arbor Skatepark will supply a limited number of decks and helmets to use at the events for those who don’t have them yet, on a first-come, first-served basis.

As a special treat, professional skateboarders Jordan Barratt and Natalie Krishna Das will join in the fun this morning!

Please meet at the bottom (south end) of the Ann Arbor Skatepark for this event.

Also see Jordan Barratt and Natalie Krishna Das at Falling Up and Getting Down: Season-Opening Live Skateboarding + Music Celebration later in the afternoon at 4pm.

This event is free and open to the public. Open from 9 to 11 am Sunday, September 11.
