Arts Adventures with UMCU
For over 15 years, the University of Michigan Credit Union (UMCU) has been a key corporate partner for UMS, especially in supporting our efforts to provide unique and accessible artistic experiences for K-12 and U-M students.
In 2016, under the leadership of Tiffany Ford, UMCU made a $1.5 Million gift to create and endow the University of Michigan Credit Union Arts Adventures Program at UMS and the University of Michigan Museum of Art (UMMA). This was the largest corporate gift to the arts during the Victors for Michigan campaign and remains a lasting investment in the arts for today’s audiences as well as for future generations.
Even during this uncommon season, the Arts Adventure Program has lived on in the virtual space with six Digital Arts Adventures presentations, including the most recent Sphinx Virtuosi performance. We are grateful for the additional support from UMCU this season, as it has allowed us to keep the performing arts present and available for all in our community, free of charge. Please enjoy this video that discusses the Arts Adventure Program further and showcases some of the incredible work that’s been accomplished so far.
