Join a 90-minute, hands-on beginner conducting workshop with live musicians, in advance of UMS’s Feb 23 presentation of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra with music director designate Klaus Mäkelä.

Pioneer High School Orchestra conductor Jonathan Glawe will teach about the role of the conductor and basic conducting techniques, then turn it over to attendees, who will have the opportunity to conduct a small group of musicians live!
