Jazz for Young People: Who is Joe Williams?

School Day Performance

Join us for Jazz for Young People: Who is Joe Williams?, a celebration of the life and music of baritone vocalist Joe Williams, whose legendary voice and powerful sense of swing helped define the sound of the Count Basie Orchestra. The program features special guest vocalist Milton Suggs, a rising star baritone from Chicago, who joins the orchestra to demonstrate and teach students all about Williams’ unique vocal mastery.

A professional development workshop is offered in conjunction with this performance.

We will always put the health and safety of our audiences and artists first, and we will continue to serve the K-12 community through digital artistic and educational events until we are able to safely gather in person once again.
