Patrick Harlin is the newly appointed composer-in-residence with the Lansing Symphony, and has also written a companion piece to Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons. He holds an MM and DMA in composition from the University of Michigan. In this pre-performance talk, he discusses the origins of Vivaldi’s work, themes of nature and music, and how and why Max Richter “recomposed” a masterpiece.
