It’s a Parable Party! UMS invites you to an evening of sharing with fellow Octavia E. Butler and Parable of the Sower enthusiasts. The party is free and open to the public so tell your friends to bring their friends, and let’s have a Parable of the Sower-themed ball.

Enjoy snacks, read your favorite passage from the book, share your Parable-inspired poetry and prose, or just relax and enjoy the music, painting, and impromptu dancing. Host Anna Almore will keep the crowd connected and snapping as willing participants take the mic to share with the crowd.

This is your space to kick back and share in the joy of Octavia E. Butler’s folklore. Musical instruments and costumes will be available to spice up your Parable Persona as the Earthseed compels you.
