The winter solstice marks the first public event of the residency, where audiences will gather online to reflect on the changing seasons through collective music-making. Knoxx will present an evening of original videos and traditional indigenous teachings, concluding in a new track produced live over zoom.

Audience members will be encouraged to contribute to the track via their computer microphones. No musical background is needed to participate, but audiences are encouraged to come prepared with instruments or any sound-making object.

The performance will end with an online reflection, discussion, and Q&A.​
