The “Queen of Ranchera Music,” Aida Cuevas presents a mariachi spectacle, paying tribute to her dear friend and greatest mentor, Juan Gabriel, who passed away in 2016. Performing her legendary friend’s biggest hits — she is in the midst of paying tribute to the singer and songwriter through a five-CD release, the only artist authorized by his estate to record and tour his music — Cuevas exhibits her stunning vocals and her unwavering devotion to traditional mariachi music and its demanding vocal forms. With a long-lasting career of nearly 40 years, she was recently awarded the 2018 Grammy Award for Best Regional Mexican Music Album, the first time a woman has received the award. This unforgettable concert also features Cuevas’s mariachi band, Mariachi Juvenil Tecalitlán.

“La Reina de la Música Ranchera”, presenta un espectáculo mariachi, que rende homenaje a su gran amigo y mentor, Juan Gabriel, que murió en 2016.  Representando los más grandes éxitos de su amigo legendario — ella se encuentra en medio del tributo al cantautor a través del lanzamiento de una colección de 5 CD’s,  la única artista autorizada legalmente por la herencia de Juan Gabriel para grabar y hacer tour de su música.

Cuevas muestra su imponente estilo de vocales y su decidido fervor para la música tradicional de mariachi y las formas vocales exigentes. Ella, con su larga carrera de casi cuarenta años, recientamente dado el premio Grammy 2018 para Mejor Álbum Música Mexicana Regional es la primera mujer que ha recibido este honor. Este concierto inolvidable también incluye la banda mariachi de Cuevas, Mariachi Juvenil Tecalitlán.
