UMS Ambassadors champion our community engagement mission, provide and secure financial support, and assist in countless other ways.
If you are passionate about arts advocacy and would like to connect deeply with UMS, Ambassadors may be a great match for you. More than 70 members of the UMS Ambassadors work to increase awareness of and participation in UMS programs through ushering at UMS school-day performances, helping UMS staff with projects and events, and creating partnerships with various U-M and community groups.
Members serve a three-year term, which may be extended for an additional three years by invitation of the chair. Membership recruitment begins in January, and new members join in June. To learn more, please contact:

The UMS Student Committee is a student organization dedicated to keeping the campus community connected to the performing arts via UMS performances. Members have a deep love for the performing arts and have found that the committee is a really satisfying, social way to stay connected to the arts throughout their college career. Members get two free tickets for every four hours of volunteering with UMSSC. With over 30 volunteer opportunities each year, it’s easy to earn free tickets to almost all of our upcoming performances. Join our volunteer list anytime by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
If you’re interested in taking a leadership role in the Student Committee, we are now accepting applications for 2016-2017 UMS Student Committee Board members. The Board works together to envision, create, and implement integrated marketing campaigns on campus to promote UMS by attending biweekly meetings at the UMS Offices. Consider joining the UMSSC Board if you are a U-M student interested in gaining mentored resume-building experiences in marketing, public relations, event planning, or programming. You’ll choose six performances each season to focus your energy on promoting and will receive a free ticket to each.
The next round of applications is mid-September 2016.
