Parking Updates
Between updates to the University of Michigan’s event parking system and construction around campus and town, there’s A LOT going on!
Please see information below about parking updates, and check this page frequently while we share the latest known road closures and disruptions for upcoming events.
New Event Parking Procedures
Event parking across U-M structures is now cashless and fully automated. If you do not have a valid U-M parking permit, event parking will cost $10, payable by credit or debit card when you enter the structure.
Rest assured, U-M parking staff will be available for the first few UMS events to assist with the transition.
Parking FAQs
When you arrive at the parking structure, simply scan the bar code at the bottom of the new event parking machines for entrance (you do not need to insert the pass into the machine). You will not need to show the pass when you leave. Please keep the pass in the plastic sleeve to protect it, and do not laminate it as that will interfere with the machine's ability to read the code.
Please note: the parking pass will not be valid at the Arthur Miller Theatre surface lot. This lot has not been converted to the new system that enables the bar code reader. Event parking at the Arthur Miller Theatre lot will cost $10, payable by credit or debit card.
Street Closures
Please read pre-performance emails carefully and visit this page before you arrive for the latest information and updates. The area around Hill Auditorium, in particular, will be under construction throughout the fall, and we fully expect late-breaking news about access to the venues.
We are currently working with the City of Ann Arbor, the University, and the construction contractor to ensure as seamless a system as possible for people to park and get to the performance venue, but we expect some disruptions and late-breaking changes.
We look forward to welcoming you to UMS’s 148th Season. We know that the fall will be challenging with the construction projects around Hill Auditorium and ask for your patience and flexibility as loyal attendees as we navigate these changes together.
