Bring your Entourage
Your favorite artist is in town. Hers is the music that you whistle in the shower, sing in the car, and hum in grocery store aisles. It is the music you come home to. The transformative power of the performing arts is something you believe in, something you’ve experienced, and something that you feel simply compelled to share with your friends & colleagues.
There are a thousand reasons to email, text, Tweet, and Facebook about a great upcoming UMS event to your network, especially when you have a great discount to share. But developing materials, organizing responses, and coordinating group tickets? Not a chance.
That’s where we come in. At UMS we can take the work and frustration out of the equation and replace it with a powerful toolkit to help you spread the word about a performance: flyers, designed emails, ticket discounts, promo codes, social media platforms…the list goes on and on. All we’re missing is you.
And your ENTOURAGE.
Get the tools
You have the people, we have the materials. For any performance you’re excited about we can put together a media toolkit to help you easily and effectively communicate with your Entourage. Take a look at your networks and tell us what will be most useful to you.
o Flyers for your community storefronts?
o An HTML designed email you can easily forward, with embedded video clips and informational links?
o Marketing copy to post on an online listing?
o A copy of the event press release for a weekly newsletter?
Pick and choose what you need and we’ll get it in your hands.
But it doesn’t stop with just materials – add some extra incentive with a ticket discount. We can offer discounts of up to 25% for targeted groups like yours to most performances on the season, and with the exclusive promotion code we set up for you the members of your Entourage can each order their tickets individually. That means you stay out of the middle and can focus on what you really care about: the performance.
Spread the Word
Once you have your toolkit or your promotion code, just click “send” and meet your Entourage in the lobby at the show. It’s really that easy.
Share Your Story
UMS works together with community members to share personal stories which connect them to our performances. We believe that the performing arts are not a one-way experience, but a conversation in which you participate. Do you have a story to tell about why a performance, artist, or experience is important to you? Share it with our network.
We share your stories through our heavily-trafficked blog, umsLobby.org, our active social media followings, professionally produced YouTube videos, and our targeted email marketing. We encourage conversation about and deeper connections between community members across these platforms.
UMS is committed to providing complete editorial and back-end technical services to facilitate sharing these stories. For more information about guest blogging, video interviews, and more, contact Manager of New Media and Online Initiatives Anna Prushinskaya at email@example.com
What are you waiting for? Contact Casey Schmidt at (734) 763-3100 or firstname.lastname@example.org to get started. We can’t wait to meet your Entourage!

The Fine Print
To be eligible for a group discount, at least ten tickets must be purchased to the same event at the same time. With the exception of promotion codes extended as part of the Entourage Program, we are unable to process group orders online at this time. Contact the Group Sales Office to inquire if you qualify for a group discount before attempting to order group tickets online.
Unlike other ticket orders, group orders do not have to be fully paid when a reservation is placed. We understand that group orders often require a significant amount of planning and coordination, so a group reservation can be held with a $100 deposit. UMS accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover as payment for your order. Checks should be made payable to the University Musical Society. The balance of the order is due two weeks prior to the performance date.
Once a deposit is paid, any changes to your order must be made to the Group Sales Office in writing. In the event the order must be cancelled, $50 of the deposit is refundable pending the receipt of a cancellation notice at least two weeks prior to the performance date. As with all UMS ticket orders, when a group reservation is confirmed and paid in full refunds are only available in the event that the performance is cancelled. All programs and artists are subject to change.
Discounts may not be available in all price ranges for all performances. Contact us for the most up-to-date information about special deals and discounts.
Tickets may not be resold. Any tickets distributed to a ticket broker or other intermediary will be voided, and no refunds will be given. Additionally, groups may not advertise discounted tickets to the general public without permission of UMS. If permission is granted, groups may only use copy approved in writing by UMS. Groups may always advertise to their own mailing lists.
