When opportunity knocks…
Be present, because UMS is bringing the world to you. In the 2015-16 season, UMS will bring some of the globe’s most remarkable performing artists to your door. We hope you’ll open that door, gather a group, and come join us in one of our world-class venues. Whether it’s family fun, a night out with friends, a business function, or a community center or school trip, we’re here to help make your event a night to remember.
Booking Group Sales
Tickets to our performances are great for social events, employee or client appreciation, educational opportunities, and much more. Call the Group Sales Office at 734.763.3100 or email us with your order details at email@example.com. We will help you select the best seats that meet your needs, identify a payment plan, and send the tickets at no extra charge.
Any order of 10 or more tickets to one performance entitles you to the discounts and amenities of the Group Sales Program at UMS, including ticket discounts, waived service fees, payment plans, and advanced purchasing privileges. Group leaders, we know that organizing a group outing takes dedication and enthusiasm. To thank you for your hard work, we will reward you with one free ticket for every ten tickets purchased (limit three). We’ll also throw in a free parking pass if you are attending a performance on the University of Michigan’s central campus.
Paying for Tickets
Group orders can be reserved with a $100 deposit (half of which is fully refundable up until two weeks before the performance). Final payment is due 14 days before the performance date.
We can make arrangements for members of your group to reserve and pay for their own tickets directly, giving your group the opportunity to experience a UMS performance together without giving you the hassle of coordinating reimbursements.
Is your group a 501(c)3 non-profit organization? Ask about the UMS Ticket Fundraising Program. Your organization can purchase discounted tickets for resale at a higher price to your donors and community members, helping you raise valuable funds for your organization.

Bring your Entourage
Excited about an upcoming performance? So excited that you want to tell your entire network of friends, family, and co-workers about it? Let us help you spread the word and connect with your “Entourage.” With personalized promotion codes and custom-tailored marketing materials, we can help you become a successful event promoter, and the best part is that you are still eligible for a 15-25% ticket discount (when applicable).
You’ll receive a toolkit that may include the following items to help you get the word out to your entourage: • A personalized promotion code so your friends can get a discount when they book online, by phone, or in person • A specially-designed email with the promo code embedded, to forward as you see fit • Images and video links to share on social media • Print flyers / club cards / posters (if available)
We make it super easy for you to share your passion.
Share Your Story
UMS works together with community members to share personal stories which connect them to our performances. We believe that the performing arts are not a one-way experience, but a conversation in which you participate. Do you have a story to tell about why a performance, artist, or experience is important to you? Share it with our network.
For more information about sharing your story via guest blogging, video interviews, and more, contact manager of digital media Anna Prushinskaya at firstname.lastname@example.org
What are you waiting for? Contact our group sales coordinator Katherine McBride at (734) 763-3100 or email@example.com to get started. We can’t wait to meet your Entourage!

The Fine Print
To be eligible for a group discount, at least ten tickets must be purchased to the same event at the same time. With the exception of promotion codes extended as part of the Entourage Program, we are unable to process group orders online at this time. Contact the Group Sales Office to inquire if you qualify for a group discount before attempting to order group tickets online.
Unlike other ticket orders, group orders do not have to be fully paid when a reservation is placed. We understand that group orders often require a significant amount of planning and coordination, so a group reservation can be held with a $100 deposit. UMS accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover as payment for your order. Checks should be made payable to the University Musical Society. The balance of the order is due two weeks prior to the performance date.
Once a deposit is paid, any changes to your order must be made to the Group Sales Office in writing. In the event the order must be cancelled, $50 of the deposit is refundable pending the receipt of a cancellation notice at least two weeks prior to the performance date. As with all UMS ticket orders, when a group reservation is confirmed and paid in full refunds are only available in the event that the performance is cancelled. All programs and artists are subject to change.
Discounts may not be available in all price ranges for all performances. Contact us for the most up-to-date information about special deals and discounts.
Tickets may not be resold. Any tickets distributed to a ticket broker or other intermediary will be voided, and no refunds will be given. Additionally, groups may not advertise discounted tickets to the general public without permission of UMS. If permission is granted, groups may only use copy approved in writing by UMS. Groups may always advertise to their own mailing lists.
