Members of the Calidore String Quartet, the inaugural M-Prize winner (2016) who made their UMS debut in February, join their mentors, the Emerson String Quartet.

The program features works for larger string ensembles, closing with Mendelssohn’s brilliant octet, composed when he was just 16 as a birthday gift for his violin teacher.
