Educator Workshop:
Turning Books into Plays
Building Literacy Skills in Young Readers

After their highly successful workshop “Lights! Camera! Learning!” last season, 4th Wall Theatre co-founders Katie Mann and Annie Klark return to UMS to present an interactive workshop where teachers will explore how to turn their favorite children’s books into plays.

Any classroom can become a stage. This how-to workshop will address the nuts and bolts of putting on a performance right in your classroom. Students will have fun bringing their favorite story to life while also learning important literacy skills.

This workshop is ideal for Reading Specialists, Elementary, English Language Learners, and Special Education teachers.
